What do I need to run digdat Connect?

digdat Connect has been developed using the Bootstrap framework which is built to work best in the latest desktop and mobile browsers, meaning older browsers might display differently styled, though fully functional, renderings of certain components.

Supported browsers

Specifically, we support the latest versions of the following:

  • Chrome (Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android)
  • Safari (Mac and iOS only, as the Windows version is being abandoned)
  • Firefox (Mac, Windows)
  • Internet Explorer
  • Opera (Mac, Windows)

Unofficially, Bootstrap should look and behave well enough in Chromium and Chrome for Linux, Firefox for Linux, and Internet Explorer 7, though they are not officially supported.

This is the area of interest that your search results will be based on. The circle provides a radius of 500m around the centre of your search area. You can move this to the required position by dragging the map.

How valid are the search results?

The search result is valid on the day of the search and is based on the information you entered. To ensure you use the most up-to-date information it is recommended that you search as close as possible to the date of site activity. The information provided is collated from public sources made available by the relevant utility or network operator, as such, the accuracy of the results lies with the originator and digdat Connect accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of any of the information provided.

Why do the results identify multiple providers or network operators for the same service?

The service delivers multiple contact information to ensure protection of plant and assets, therefore, where one or more network operators have networks in close proximity or have a margin of operational overlap, digdat Connect will provide contact information for both network operators. As such, you may find that there will be instances where your search identifies network operators that may not have assets within your search area. This also holds true for companies operating nationally but only provide ‘pockets’ of local networks, for example, Electricity Independent Distribution Network Operators.

How up-to-date are the contact details?

digdat Connect is periodically reviewed and updated. It is envisaged that initially this review and update process for all providers will be 6 monthly. In some instances, this could be more frequent as we aim to provide a dynamic service, ensuring that when we are notified of changes, digdat Connect reflect these changes within 5 working days of notification.
